A SIC-Based BS Coordination Scheme for Full Duplex Cellular Networks

چکیده
Full Duplex (FD) in cellular networks is expected to increase the cell spectral efficiency. However, while downlink (DL) efficiency (SE) increases with FD, uplink (UL) SE decreases because of Base Station (BS) interference. In this paper, assuming a three-node model, we propose method based on Successive Interference Cancellation (SIC) reduce BS-to-BS interference present FD networks. The approach consists coordinating BSs enable decoding and suppression undesired signals that impair transmissions. We analyze both distributed Centralized Radio Access Networks (CRAN) architectures. Stochastic geometry used derive coverage probability mean data rate proposed scheme. scenario, UL average increased by 25% our solution compared classical network, scheme still outperforms Half-Duplex (HD) DL. centralized HD 10% 78% UL, preserving gains

Full-Duplex Cellular Networks: It Works!
Full-duplex (FD) communications with bidirectional transmitting and receiving at the same time and frequency radio resource have long been deemed a promising way to boost spectrum efficiency, but hindered by the techniques for self-interference cancellation (SIC). Recent breakthroughs in analog and digital signal processing yield the feasibility of beyond 100 dB SIC capability and make it possi...
متن کاملOn Cell Association in Multi-Tier Full-Duplex Cellular Networks
This paper addresses the cell association problem in multi-tier in-band full-duplex (FD) networks. Specifically, we consider the case of decoupled cell association (DCA) in which users are not necessarily served by the same base station (BS) for uplink and downlink transmissions. Instead, users can simultaneously associate to different BSs based on two independent weighted path-loss cell associ...
متن کاملOn the Degrees of Freedom of Full-Duplex Cellular Networks
Full-duplex (FD) cellular networks are considered in which a FD base station (BS) simultaneously supports a set of half-duplex (HD) downlink (DL) users and a set of HD uplink (UL) users. The transmitter and the receiver of the BS are equipped with reconfigurable antennas, each of which can choose its transmit or receive mode from several preset modes. Under the no self-interference assumption a...
متن کاملFull-Duplex WiFi Networks
The device in conventional half-duplex WiFi networks cannot perform carrier sensing while in data transmission; thus it suffers from long collision duration. To mitigate this problem, this chapter introduces full-duplex (FD) technology into WiFi networks. A novel CSMA/CD protocol design is first presented for singlechannel FD-WiFi, which facilitates continuous carrier sensing and transmission s...
متن کاملAnalysis of Statistical QoS in Half Duplex and Full Duplex Dense Heterogeneous Cellular Networks
Statistical QoS provisioning as an important performance metric in analyzing next generation mobile cellular network, aka 5G, is investigated. In this context, by quantifying the performance in terms of the effective capacity, we introduce a lower bound for the system performance that facilitates an efficient analysis. Based on the proposed lower bound, which is mainly built on a per resource b...
